“Hinged Agate” is a Versa pendant constructed with a sterling silver half-moon bail which is attached to three hinged segments. Each segment is a sterling silver bezel mount for Picture Agate cabochons. Each cabochon is cut to design specification. There is a sterling silver ball-bead decoration riveted through the stone on each segment. Hinges are hand-made as are the sterling silver rivets securing the pieces together. The bail has loops on the back which is the attachment point for the lobster clasps on the Versa necklace.
“Hinged Agate” Versa Pendant
Versa pendants are designed with bails which attach to the double lobster clasps on a Versa necklace. Lobster clasps are available in a variety of sizes and shapes. What is generally referred to as the “finding”, becomes an integral part of the design feature. Each design is a SHOWPIECE displayed eloquently on neck. The pendant can be attached to a different necklace for a completely different look.
